RR Psalm 37:30,31 Part 19

Shalom,

Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom and his tongue speaks justice. 31 The Torah of his God is in his heart. His steps do not slip.

Notice the “heart connection” of verse 31!  This “heart connection” is the result of the previous verse which calls for the righteous utterance of wisdom and the audible expression of justice.  When “Torah” (God’s righteous commandments) takes that short trip from head to heart, the kingdom of God has come unto you.

Romans 10:9 For if you confess with your mouth that Yeshua is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart it is believed for righteousness, and with the mouth it is confessed for salvation.

Audible confession is not just important for the speaker, it is important for the hearer also.  The tongue is a creative force.  By the spoken word, thoughts (which are spirit) enter the physical world.  Even God spoke the world into existence.  The “born again” experience of salvation (the greatest spiritual event for any soul) requires the message of the good news to be spoken.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on the One in whom they have not trusted? And how shall they trust in the One they have not heard of? And how shall they hear without someone proclaiming? 15 And how shall they proclaim unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim good news of good things!”

Yes, the mouth and the heart are permanently linked.  Matthew 12:34b For from the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 The good man from his good treasury brings forth good, and the evil man from his evil treasury brings forth evil.

How do we build our “good treasury?”  Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise—dwell on these things.

I’ve been accused of creating my own reality.  Don’t we all?  Shalom shalom.
