RR Psalm 44:6-9(5-8) Part 2
Shalom,
Psalm 44:6 Through You we push back our foes. Through Your Name we trample those rising up against us. 7 For I do not trust in my bow, nor can my sword save me. 8 For You saved us from our oppressors and put to shame those who hated us. 9 In God we make our boast all day and Your Name we praise forever. Selah
Sounds like we are at war, and we are. There is constant battle swirling around us, and it is intensifying day by day. That swirling battle involves both flesh and spirit, but it starts in the spirit. Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
John saw it… Revelation 16:13 Then I saw—coming from the dragon’s mouth and from the beast’s mouth and from the false prophet’s mouth—three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits performing miraculous signs, who go out to the kings of the whole world—to gather them for battle on the great Day of Elohei Tzva’ot.
Which sets up the final battle called Har-Megiddo (Armageddon). Revelation 16:16 Then the spirits gathered the kings to the place called in Hebrew Har-Megiddo. So, we find ourselves in the Lord’s army, ready to fight in the day of battle. Although this is true, we must remember that the spiritual reality is greater than the physical reality.
2Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but powerful through God for the tearing down of strongholds. We are tearing down false arguments 5 and every high-minded thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah— 6 ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.
We have our commission from Yeshua… Mark 16:15 He told them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to every creature.” We are reclaiming the lost world for the Lord, one soul at a time. Some will believe, and others won’t, but the Lord is still our Commander, and He is still on the throne. Selah! Shalom shalom.
